The Story of Maree
Maree's commissioned artworks could be described as providing a visual link for people between where they are now and what they most want to see and feel.
On the other hand, her personal creations are purely about sharing her creativity and love of painting, drawing and mixed media.
After completing a Bachelor of Visual Arts, Maree moved back to her hometown in outback Queensland.
Maree's artwork and creativity reaches beyond the canvas. She has provided project guidance as well as design and "hands-on" assistance to the local council and community groups. Her work has extended from sheet and scrap metal sculptures, sign writing and murals, to logo and interior design.
"Maree Power Art was born of my desire to create an artistic outlet for my deep love of colour, imagery and poetry in vision. It was built from my need to express, beyond words, thoughts, feelings and memories for myself and others.
Painting and drawing has provided me with a channel to capture and share a glimpse of that which is so dear to us but not easily translated." - Maree
